A huge thanks to all

Post by sierraspider »

My Fiat journey began about three months ago when I first started looking to buy one. With all the valuable information and tips I was lucky enough to get a great deal on an 82 that needed mostly mechanical things as the body, interior and top were in great shape. With the help of forum members (because while I'm a fairly detailed oriented guy, my mechanical skills were limited.) and a great mechanic Mark Saporito from Sacramento (916 969 3059) I finished the following tasks and she's a day away from being back on the road:
New timing belt tensioner (great posts on this issue)
Water pump/hoses/belts
Oil leak @ex manifold (again with the help of some great tips)
Rear trailing arms
New clutch/ p plate/t o bearing
Realign aux shaft (created horrendous knock that went away when properly aligned) Again amazing posts
New fuel pump/ filter
Various relays
Power windows fixed
All new fluids
Completely reconditioned driveshaft with center bearing and u joints
New tranny seals
Reconditioned gas tank (see post on gas tank fix and update)
Anyway my sincere thanks to all who posted and responded to my dumb ass ?s I really don't think I could have undertaken it without your help

Thanks
Dan

Hey Dan, we all need each other. Advice, parts, support, shoulders to cry on....

I hope you just forgot to include your new timing belt on the list. Surely you changed that too.

I can't imagine how frustrating things must have been before the internet. I have probably searched this site a hundred times and alway found it imformative.
