Last post was about the front brakes locking up, did everything possible also changed the new M/C with another one with no luck. Now Iam having a problem with the rear not getting fluid to the calipers, changed out the regulator set the rod same as last regulator. If I gravity feed fluid comes slowly, tried to bleed them but fluid only trickles out. Cracked the line at the master also a trickle, I am lost at this don't know what else to do. The car is a 1974 spider 124.

Re: need help with brakes
crack the rubber hose fitting at the tee at the rear axle and see if you get the proper amount of fluid there. If you do, then your compensator is not working right.

Re: need help with brakes
Ok everything is working fine except a small trickles at one of the fittings at the T connection on the axle. The fitting is new so is the brake line, turned the nut couple more times but still a little trickle and advise on what to do.
Thanks

Re: need help with brakes
Are you sure the new line and the T have compatible flares? The OE is a double bubble flare which is quite unusual at US parts places.

Hi Karl I made the new lines with the double bubble flare , bought the flaring tool from Snap On it only does double bubble flaring.

Only asking because you don't specifically say. The axle is carrying the weight of the car, not hanging free when you are doing this correct?nibbes123 wrote:Last post was about the front brakes locking up, did everything possible also changed the new M/C with another one with no luck. If so...it is possible you need to adjust the new compensator differently from the old. I seem to recall us having a similar problem. As long as you have fluid free flowing in front of the compensator but not after, it can only be that part or plugged lines IMHO.
