Thanks
Thanks
Thanks for this special 'club' of Fiat Spider lovers! I have a 1979 2000 which I've owned now for 13 years. She was stored in a garage for about 3 years while I had some medical problems, but I'm ready to get her back on the road again. From the driver's seat, you can reach back and put the top down, take off, and just have fun going through the gears. The only thing missing, in my mind at least, is an air-conditioner for those hot days, but I'm willing to sacrifice.
Thanks again for being here,
Timmer

Re: Thanks
well, depending on where you live and drive your Spider.... the A/C may be a necessity, or a waste of space and added weight.
From Michigan where we are only dreaming of driving (for now).

Re: Thanks
I'm close to Notre Dame, in South Bend, IN. We do get some hot days, but usually it's pretty mild- not bad for a good Fiat run with the top down. We're just now between winter and spring; I can feel it coming.
Re: Thanks
Then you are almost in W/ Michigan FLU area. Mike lives in Coldwater, and is very involved. Also Chicago has a new chapter. Ive done a few events with Mike and the gang, and will do some more. Welcome...
Re: Thanks
Good deal! Could you let me know when and where some of the events are? I'd appreciate it!

Re: Thanks
south bend? You mean THE South Bend, Indiana? I used to work just north of there in Bridgman, Michigan...Lived in Stevensville for a few years, and was born and raised, and married my sweetie in St Joseph, Michigan!!!!
I have a sister still living in St Joe. We gotta get together sometime before all those Chicago folks swarm the right coast of Lake michigan.....
send me an email at mbouse@chartermi.net and I will get you hooked up with all the things going on this year between your house, my house and Grand Rapids. then, while you are waiting for me to respond, go to our website and take a look around at http://flumichigan.italiancarclub.com/
you are gonna love the day you decided to hook up with this Spider Forum. Looking forward to shaking your hand. What are you doing Memorial Day weekend?

I don't know if I'd want to drink a beer that's been on Mike, but is that Lexington style barbecue? If so, count me in!

There are other towns called Lexington out there? If you're in North Carolina, there's only one that counts. Lexington is the Barbecue Capitol Of The World! When you come this way for a visit, I'll show you just what I mean. In the meantime, read this:mbouse wrote:Denise....Indianapolis.... Indiana not Kentucky. Re: Thanks
must be something in the name, cuz Lexington Kentucky claims to be the Horse Capital of the World.
Lexington Massachusetts and Lexington Missouri don't seem to have self esteem issues, however, as I could not find their "Capital of..." statements.
So, Denise, is it good BBQ? Or is it GREAT BBQ? And, Dave.....I think i heard the challenge has been laid down, are you picking it up?

Re: Thanks
This sounds like a crazy group------and I like that! Hopefully I'll meet you all soon.
Re: Thanks
Yall will just have to eat some good-ole daves BB-q. I have a smoker, and plenty of apple wood. The sauce is always a little hot, and I love to fix between 6 and 9 lbs chicken wings at a time ( plus burgers, ribs, turkey breast, and sometimes brisket ) We just pull out the lawn chairs and hang out in the back yard. In the summer, we park everyone in the front yard and play volley-ball, bad minton, and such. The Robins came back this week, so spring must be around the corner!
