timing belt

timing belt
looking for help on replacing a timing belt on my 78/124/spider, old belt is in place but looking a little tired.can I just remove and replace,how do I release the tention? any help would be great. homer. thank you.

You might want to consider changing the front oil seals too and checking the water pump while you have the front accessible. There are a lot of posts on this subject that should pop up with the search feature. A good shop manual will help a lot too.
