Radiator

Being my radiator is a Volvo and the fans are some Micky mouse shit, my mechanic said I sould but a fan on the engine
Would that work? Then he said get the right radiator, what is the right radiator for the 79,.? He is talking about a bigger one that cools easier, what do I do, buy marks set up?
