steering box oil

I want to check the oil level on my '82 but I cant find a tool to remove the square bolt and I dont want to strip it... any suggestions?

Square bolt in the center? Mine was 10mm, I believe

yes I believe it is a 10mm male. where can I get a tool for this? I see lots of square drives for female oil drain plugs but not male...

My engine was out when I did it, so I don't know if it there's enough room with the engine in, but I just used an adjustable wrench and closed it on two sides of the square.

just a socket is what i used ( 3/8 drive

You can buy 8 pt sockets made for four sided fasteners. This is what I would use if it dosen't turn without worry of rounding with the other tools.
