Re: Power
1800 head, cams, adjustable cam wheels . You have the 4-2-1 exhaust?
Spend some $$$$-- rebore for oversized HC pistons, balanced, no power gain but shave some weight off the flywheel?
No end to what you can do or spend, but ask yourself budget and what do you want the end result to be, still nicely drivable in traffic, (not too lumpy) but has a bit more poop in the midrange..
I found the biggest difference in my FI was head work, cams and adjustable wheels and degreed in properly.
Blew by a TR-6 on the local road to town yesterday

I' m reading you have two engines/cars
quote="fiat218"]i have a 1608,in which i plan on going the max on

Regardless , get an idea as to what you want from the car. I'd recomend sourcing a 1800 head for the 2L and have it surfaced, valves and guides done. A compression increase there. With your new carb you have a single plane intake right.
If you don't have it, a 4-2-1 exhaust as well. Basically all bolt on improvements without tearing the engine down and getting into expensive after market parts. I'm sure you'll be seeing/ feeling an improvement.
Have fun with the 1608...
