to take if odd on my 80, do i remove the hex screws and then that horn button comes off, then under that button is the main nut, CORRECT. just asking to make sure

On my 81, which I think is the same as your 80, the horn button just pops out. I use a small screwdriver to get under it. The hex nut inside then holds the hub and wheel in place. The six screws hold the wheel to the hub. Not sure what you're trying to get to, but taking the 6 screws off basically only gets the steering wheel off (if you want to refurbish it).
