thanks everyone.
Made some progress this evening. I got the radiator and fans installed & wired-up. I got all the wiring on that side of the bay into looms. And I got the throttle linkage bracket & pulley welded-up & painted. Next time I get to work on it, I;ll get the linkage installed, and then it;s over to the other side of the engine bay.
Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Re: teeheehee : evil grin :
alrighty....
if everyone promises to make NO COMMENTS about the HORRIBLE mess in my garage..... I'll post this video.....
Seriously.... I'm now at that stage in the project where everything else that I thought could wait until I got done has now become far too urgent to wait any longer... and I haven't been able to do ANYTHING to it for more than THREE WEEKS!!! And in the meantime; the projects and tools and leftovers are stacking-up around it.
So tonight, after working on the new-to-me LandRover Disco so the boy could drive it, I decided to at least hear her run....

I can't help it - and I didn't make any promises....that garage is a pit!!
But the car sounds great! Really interested in the ignition switch thing. Is there a key anywhere? What kind of security is there to prevent any old person from coming along and hitting the right buttons and driving off with your pride and joy?
Hurry up and get a seat in that thing - it belongs on the road, not that mess of a garage you've got!

Yes, several different security measures, which are... er... um... secure. Including but nowhere near limited to the key.
there's a switch for the coil / fuel pump. And a push-button starter. there's the key which acts as the steering-lock, as well as disarming the alarm / disabler. There's a hidden master-cut-off and a few other little goodies. So depending on WHERE it is, and HOW LONG IT'LL BE THERE... I can enable any number of different security features.
My favorite though, is the "BIG-DOG".. which is just for me to know about.
