hey everyone
I'm having a hard time narrowing down the posts about carbs. so ill ask a more direct question!
i was looking for a rebuild kit for my 34DMSA.. on auto ricambi its 99 bucks. (its a full rebuilt kit, not just a few gaskets)
but they also sell this bad boy
(Weber 32/36 DFEV)
https://www.autoricambi.us/cgi/commerce ... =FU1-410-Z
for 395.
but if you go to here -
http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/Weber_C ... rs_s/2.htm
the same carb is only 195
thats a huge difference.
should i rebuild my old carb, or just go with a new one for 100 bucks more?
then i can sell one of you fine folks my dmsa!
what do you think? thats right.. YOU!
carb help?!

It is not the same carb, it is a Chinese made copy of a Weber. We used to buy from them, but not since they switched to the Chinese carbs. A Weber (made in Spain) costs a lot more than that, even wholesale. However, since people mostly look at price, we may have to switch in the future.
Also a generic DFEV is not going to have the proper ball stud for the Spider.

Re: carb help?!
I would absolutely stick with the original carb. It fits, it works, it was designed for your car. And $99 buck for a rebuild kit?? All you really need is "just a few gaskets" methinks yoiu can find a much cheaper kit. Super simple little carb.
