They will fit the same, but not sure about the lobe on the end. Last year we tried fitting a 1800 , or thought it was, shaft in a friends 79 2L. It fit but would not contact the fuel pump.
I suppose one might be able to whack the end off, plug the oil galley and go to an electric pump. I'd be confirming with one of the experts that work on these cars for a living though.

I have never tested this, but if they were interchangeable, then why did fiat change a proven design. I think the offset lobe design of the 2.0 aux shaft vs. the cam type lobe of the earlier design was for interference problems. I’m not 100% sure, but it only makes sense

The car is a 83 Pininfarina (fuel injected).

I have a bad auxiliary shaft but I am having a hard time finding a replacement. If you have a good one let me know but I might buy a shaft for a 1800 and see if it will work.

I'd be thinking it would work. For a piece of mind , think about cutting the lobe off the end of the shaft, drill the oil galley a bit bigger and plug. best is to tap and screw a plug but I have read the metal can seem a bit hard to tap. I used a simple pound in plug and so far is working/holding.
You have an electric fuel pump so you don't need the lobe on the end as it was for the mechanical fuel pumps.
I used my spare last year to replace a broken shaft after it hit #2 on another fiat.
