Brake Booster Fitting Question

Post by RRoller123 »

The right angle fitting that is in the brake booster on the firewall, with the line that that runs up to the intake manifold, is loose on my car. The fitting seems to be seated on a rubber washer/bushing. I can rotate it a little and rock it as well. Noticed this when trying to get the old hose off for replacement. This doesn't sound right to me and it may be the cause of my idle problems. Shouldn't this fitting be firmly attached at the booster? Just checking. Thanks.

spray some carb cleaner around the fitting with the engine idling, if it's leaking vacuum the idle speed will change
