Fuel Injectors Question

I have a question regarding the fuel line attachment to the Injectors.

When I took them offf, they had only the "Cap" on the fuel line at both the injector and rail ends, i.e. no clamps. It has been like that for decades.

I have bought high pressure fuel line clamps and wonder if we would use the clamps WITH the caps or just use the clamps when re-installing the fuel line? It looks like the clamps would slightly overhang the nipple end of the injector when the caps are installed. Anyone have knowledge in this area? Thanks.

i would toss the caps if you are using clamps

Thanks, azruss, thats what I suspected, but I wanted to be sure. I am not sure I am comfortable with the clamp pressure hanging out over the end of the nipple. I am surprised that the caps alone seem to work, but they lasted a few decades on my car. An hour or so more and hopefully this thing will be running again!

I can't say enough good about OK INjectors too! I overnighted them the injectors on Thursday afternoon, and I got them back this morning USPS overnight. My car was running ok, but from the test report, it should run a lot better now after refurbishment!
