I will be up in Port McNeill for a month in July - but don't know whether Willie and the Cup will be there. When Willie was a Canuck, they had a big sign outside the local arena that proclaimed Port McNeill as "The Home of Willie MItchell". When he went to LA, the sign came down. It might very well be put back up now, though.

Yes congrats to the Kings..but I disagree with you. IF the referees had called the dirty hit 15 seconds earlier by the Kings at the Devils bench...and nobody can argue that shouldn't have been called...then the play would have been stopped. Kings played well, but this game was decided by the refs. The win has to be good for the LA market though.

You have a point in that for this game. The colour comentator for CBC even made a comment regarding the refs...
He said something along the line ," this game is being decided by the guys in the black and white... and its not the Kings"
In defence of refs, I havn't ref'd anything for close to 40 years but it is difficult to get all the calls right... but this game had 4 officials on the ice I believe.
Regardless, the Kings were the better Team throughout the playoffs.
