Brake line to hose bolt

Post by Weelan »

Does anyone know where I can buy the flow through bolt to connect the brake lines to the brake hoses? no one seems to have them.

Ryan, Hope all is well. I'd have to look at my brakes real quick. However, I think the brake line is a flare nut on the end of the hard line with the bolt already on it. If you are flaring the line yourself you would cut the line, slip the new bolt on and then flare the nut with a special tool. The hard brake line nut can be purchased at most parts stores like NAPA as long as you know what thread/size to buy. The inside of the fenders have a clip that holds the line and hose juntion in place. The bolt on the caliper end is called a banjo bolt and they are avaiable as well. Hope this helps. Thanks, Ray

Thanks Ray, I'll try NAPA or autozone maybe. Ya, I'm doing the bolt that's on the metal line. I'd looked at Advanced auto, but they didn't have the 1.25 thread spacing.

autozone is a no. NAPA is closed by the time I'm out of work, except a couple but they're pretty far. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Anyone else know where I could look?

Just wanted to update this.
I was sent a link from a friend to the place he got them from.

(buy 6 of them instead of just 5. it's 5 dollars cheaper!)
