I took my front bumper off yesterday and lost the front turn signals by default. I'd like to replace them with small lights in the outer grille so I went out to Pep Boys today and bought these. http://www.pepboys.com/product/details/ ... /lighting/ I was able to buy two of them rather than 12, which was nice.
My question is this, when I cut the signal cable from the bumper I noticed there were 3 wires in the cable. My guess is that one wire is for the parking lights, one is for the turn signal, and the third is the ground? The light I bought only has 1 wire. Is it possible to do anything with these lights or should I look for a different solution? I liked them because they were small and seemed like they would fit in the grille fairly well. My main criteria for making them work is to get them to blink for the turn signals and hazards. Thanks for whatever thoughts and advice you have.

Figured it out today, it's the blue and black (ground) wire. Check out http://www.fiatspider.com/f08/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18735 for more info and the finished result.

The light you bough has a ~3 watt bulb in it. The turn signals normally have a ~21 Watt bulb.
That little light is nowhere bright enough to be seen during the day.

Yeah I know, I wasn't happy with the brightness at all. These are temporary until I can get the car repainted and do a permanent fix up there. I'm also going to check to see if I can find a brighter bulb but I imagine that's as bright as these will ever be.vandor wrote:The light you bough has a ~3 watt bulb in it. Get some used motorcycle blinkers.
