Rad Fan Switch Differences

Any difference between a blades and pigtail switch? I have both new ones for a 76 with a 78 radiator to replace this weekend.

If both do the same, any positives of using one over the other one except that small gain in space?

No differences except for the clearance, unless they are different temp ranges. The switches can be found in a range of temps.
