i have a 1980 2000. would a back seat from a 72/ or 69 work in replacement on the 80

Should do. Your listing says you have one so why not give it a try. Base just lifts out and back only has about 4 screws.

The bottom cushion will, but not the back cushion because of the shoulder belt anchors on the later Spider and the cut in the side of the seat back to accomodate them.
