Hi Mike,
In order to make your life more pleasant and stress free I think you should give your spider to me. This way you won't have to listen to your wife complain and you can be assured that it will be well cared for and driven often. Didn't think so but just thought I would make the offer.

Here's my story. After restoring my spider and going on early evening drives with my lovely bride I decided to buy her one of her own. After finding the appropiate donor spider I had it restored. Even went as far as putting Panasports on it. Then I taught the wife to drive a stick. After several long drives she informed me that she does not like to drive a 5 speed transmission. Makes her nervous. Sold the spider to another club member here at NJFIATS.ORG.
Then I found a 1982 with an automatic transmission. Purchased it and sent it off to our paint and body Guru. It is almost finished. It goes from the paint and body guy the the interior guy for new seat upholstry. I will then hide it somewhere locally so I can put some finishing touches on it. My wife is then in for a surprise. She has no idea that I have this spider for her. Hope she likes it!

Cajunmike,You are a better man than me. After owning and driving a spider for about a year now , I don't think I will ever park it. Not for a woman anyway. I have come to believe that I am the cause of my wife's misery in the spider. I like to drive and with the right conditions drive fast. When she said get me home fast I don't think she really meant it . But what the hell, at least I had fun. Saturday evening we were off to a graduation party in the spider so that not riding didn't last long. After 25 years of marriage the sex is still as plentiful as it was teens so I guess I really don't have much to complain about. Good luck to you and when I get through your area I will be glad to stop by and we can go for a ride. And you can drive. Baton Rouge right?

George, thanks I think for the offer to de clutter my garage but I've got siblings with first divvies. But as I said spidey isn't going anywhere.
