Car idles funny
Ok my car has ran great and now today it will idle but when you give it gas it will surge and the die? Any ideas?

Is it carb or FI? If carb, it sounds like accellerator(sp?) pump.

When you open the trottle plate (push down your gas pedal) you're allowing more air into the intake. This causes the flap in the AFM to open more which is read by the ECU as a demand for more fuel. Your flap may be sticking. Remove the boot at the AFM and reach in and move the flap, checking for smooth operation, try to move it the whole arc of travel.
