Generally speaking, the specialist tools referred to were not available to the public. They were supplied /available to either dealers or other Fiat approved workshops. Some have picked them up over the years as workshops have had clear-outs of old and redundant gear. Others have looked at the pictures and made their own.

Thanks. Did some searching and without that tool I found two options online, either use a chain wrench or wrap the old timing belt around both cam pulleys and somehow hold them tight to prevent turning with vise grips or something. Seems like the chain wrench would give the best hold. Will let you know how it worked this after this weekend....

Why do you want to pull off the pulleys ? If you wrap an old belt around them, they will just turn as a pair.
You might have luck looking up the tool under the Kent-Moore catalogue number 'J28081'. Either one held the wheels by locating the small holes in the cam wheel front faces, together. I can email you a pic of the Fiat tool but it is just a pic in the workshop manual. Would be moderately straight forward to make one up.

Tried removing the crank nut last night, went with the chain wrench and metal pipes over the breaker bars for leverage (5ft pipe on the crank nut and 3ft pipe on the chain wrench), Had someone helping me, one holding the chain wrench and one on the crank nut... thought it was starting to mover and then pop! we broke the chain wrench! :( It was just a cheap one from Harbour Freight (http://www.harborfreight.com/20-inch-ch ... 97073.html)...

I wanted to take the pulleys off to replace the cam seals and clean/paint the pulleys.... Didn't get a chance to attempt to remove them, trying to get the crank nut off first
