Headlight Chrome Bezel

Is there a trick to getting the headlight chrome bezel + gasket + retainer screw back on? Started at the top and worked down with the gasket on the chrome. Can't seem to compress it gasket enough at the bottom to get the retaining screw back in...

I just did this a little while ago and I seem to remember that the bulb retaining ring has to fit properly over all the adjustment and mounting screws or it sits too proud. And the gasket and ring I remember have some notches that they have to fit into, took some rotating I think? It took me a while to fidget it back in properly.

Yes found a pic from a while ago. The gasket has a few tabs that have to fit into slots, it is a pita. Took a lot of rotating to get the orientation just right I remember.

Thanks for the reply. Saw the notches and ended up doing a top to bottom swap. It didn't look like it would make a difference but did. Go figure.

Also used a bit of liquid dish soap on the gasket after installed on the chrome to help slide it into position.
