yes its a guess
but ive held them in my hand before and still say 8 / 1.25
you should look for rounded head phillips
thats what it came with
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

I actually picked up 8 8mm hex bolts and used the allen key without even moving the seats to install them :mrgreen: pics tomorrow

absolutely no issues, they sit perfectly and only cost me $0.26/each I love simple and inexpensive solutions :mrgreen:

I need to also replace the rail-to-seat bolts, not just the rail to floor bolts, and I think there I will have some clearance problems with standard hex head. It's interesting to see how many different variants there are in bolts and heads...
