Another SC new fiat owner here....
Just brought my 82 spider 2000 home last night.
Needs some cosmetic/interior work but is in great shape mechanically.
I'm in the Charleston area

I don't know if it's because I own one too, but it sure seems like a lot of '82s are showing up lately. Looks like you have a beautie. Good luck, welcome to the forum.

Hello and welcome... nice spider, the other white spider I know was in St. Helena I went to go see that was
for sale.
We should meet somewhere in the Low Country, maybe Hilton Head somewhere to spread the miles
some, I'm trying to get an Italian Car Club started in Savannah so everyone in the East Coast is able to
participate when and if I get it going, I know Atlanta has an excellent Italian/Fiat club and they have a link
somewhere on this board.
I pick up my red spider this weekend and will post pics too, you can see my son's spider in the
Custom Stuff folder to see what I did to his interior.
Welcome again.

Cool RP
it may be a little while before I start taking her any real distance.
tommorrow new tires (anyone try the kumho solus kh16? what'd'ya think)
then I really need to get a new top and install some carpeting. Then maybe fix the dreaded cracked center console and dash and she'll then be pretty cheery
got a couple of minor surface rust spots to tend too as well
She's intended to be my long term rolling project

Re: Another SC new fiat owner here....
I can't speak to the kh16s, but just this winter I got the Kumho Solus HP4 Plus (Grand Touring All-Season) and I'm loving them. They are a little harder than the Kumho Ecstas ASX tires that I had before (had to be the best performing tire I've ever had) but , while softer means better performance, it also means faster wear. I had heard of wobble and balance issues on the Solus HP4 and thought I had that problem. turns out i really just had some frozen ice in the wheel (i'm guessing) because it went away with a warm streak we had. The tires I'm speaking of were on my AWD Aerio SX, but i figured it might be helpful.... I don't know what price the KH16s are running, but for the cost of the ASX and the HP4 that I have, i'm always amazed at how much better they performed in comparison to some much pricier Goodyears, etc.... (i think my HP4s were something like 70 bucks a tire for 195/55/15, the ASX were 65per)dizzyg44 wrote:tommorrow new tires (anyone try the kumho solus kh16? what'd'ya think)
Bottom line, I'm a Kuhmo fan....

Just south of Charlotte, NC. There's probably a Greenville in about every state. I know NC has one.

Re: Another SC new fiat owner here....
I'm sad to say I just had to watch my poor little fiat drive away on a truck..........
Just recently laid off and haven't had time to do anything with the fiat other than tires and drive it for a few hundred miles. Too many cars (also have a sebring vert, and miata).
It's going to a good home in Illinois, going straight to the shop for new interior and top......
I'm going to miss that little thing.
