Automatic trans Fluid Type?

I'm going to change the Auto trans filter and fluid in my spider soon. Went to autozone to pick up so fluid, my book calls for Dexron and 3 quarts for a drain & fill. The AZ guy gave me Castrol High Milage Fluid. Is this stuff correct?

It says in the description "GM 2005 MY and prior", so it should work, as Fiat used a GM automatic trans.

Anybody familair with the type of gasket ATP brand filter kits come with. Is gasket sealer required, should I use permatex? Thanks.

The general rule is to never use gasket sealer, unless the shop manual asks you to use it.
If a sealing surface looks iffy, you may want to use aviation Permatex, it basically glues the gasket one. Will be a pain to remove later, tho.

i never was in one. but other tranys GM style that ive been in had one

yes you can add one
just be sure its a strong one
