Clanking Sound
When I go around a left corner I hear a clanking sound coming from the right front of the car. I went under to look and did not see anything. When I push down on the bumper on that side, I also hear the sound. I cannot fit under the car unless it is jacked up and then I cannot recreate the sound. Any ideas?

Re: Clanking Sound
I'd suspect shock absorbers may have lost fluid, but give your suspension bolts a once over and make sure none are loose. That was the cause when my Mazda was making that noise.
Re: Clanking Sound
could be any worn part, but I'm betting on a loose top mount on the shock absorber

'80 Spider. Driving in the R. lane of a 65mph 6-lane freeway, a tractor-trailer began passing then pulled over into my lane before he was half way past me. The only evasive action I had was either drive under the trailer (kidding) or head for the shoulder. My R. wheels were in the warning track (that rough shoulder strip that wakes up sleepy motorists) for quite aways. Beginning that day, every time I made a hard left turn I would hear a scraping noise from the R. front wheel. I never could duplicate the problem in the garage. I changed the wheel bearings, had new tie rods, center links, bushings. etc. installed, which was needed, but did not stop the noise. Finally, recently, I change the front calipers and the old R. front had a silver wear mark where, obviously, the rotor was rubbing in a steering wheel-all-the-way-over turn. The new calipers stopped the noise. It was not a clanking sound though.

Re: Clanking Sound
Im hearing a clanking noise from front right also. I recently replaced a single (upper) ball joint as it had a torn boot. I will check that my bolts are tight...
