How does the control cable hook to the heater valve?

Hey all,

I have been looking for a while but can't seem to find it. Can someone please post pictures of how the center console cable attaches to the heater valve? It's a 1980 FI spider, and I haven't had control of the heater valve for a while. I see it is disconnected, but I don't know what it is supposed to look like to hook it back up so the little spring is doing something and the cable opens and closes the valve. Just a few pictures of the valve all hooked up to the cable in the car would be great. Or if someone knows where to send me and can link to the thread that would be great also.

This is the only photo I currently have. It shows the original heater valve. It has been replaced with a new one, but the concept of hooking it up is basically the same. The wire loop on the end of the cable goes over the pin on the heater valve.

Great, thanks John. That makes sense now that I see it how the cable attaches with the little bracket and screw. I think my heater valve is a metal one that looks different than the one you have though. It has a small torsion spring that I am trying to figure out the placement of as well. Here is what mine looks like:
