Procedure for timing if belt has slipped

Need help what is the procedure for timing if belt has slipped 1800cc spider

it depends on the year, the early 1800s were interference engines so you have to be careful when the cam timing is incorrect. Basically, set the engine up on tdc, loosen the tensioner and remove the belt, then realign all of the timing marks and reinstall the belt

the big question is why did it slip. Realign per marks instructions, but give the belt a good look to see if any of the notches have been sheered or damaged. also take a close look at the tension bearing and cam gears. make sure you dont have something wierd going on at the crank, like debris or crud filling in the slots. finally, take notice of the idler pulley as they dont have a timing mark. may want to make one.

good news the belt did not slip, I was afraid it had slipped when I was rolling engine over by hand after my timing belt install, i was getting some interference , I had neglected to align my aux shaft and that was the resistance I was encountering , lined that up , finished the job , runs great, then the radiator sprung a leak, LOL this is a needy little vehicle, it likes my attention,
