door lock problem

my driver side lock has stopped working by key on the outside, but it locks just fine from the inside. the passenger side locks up fine either way although the button tends to stick when depressed. i know many people don't lock the doors on their cars but i just want everything to work.

the link from the lock cylinder may have broken, but you're going to have to remove the door panel to see anything

alright, and if it is broken could i simple swap the internals from the passenger door or are they made to only fit in one door or the other? i can unlock the car from the outside, just can't lock it

you need to oil the mecanisum and cylinder at least once every 10 to 15 yrs has it been 30?

i actually oiled it up last spring when i got the car, but i guess i'll do it again
