POR15

POR15 works OK if you follow the directions exactly. It sticks best to rust, sandblasted metal or etched metal. What I don't like it that it's so hard it can't really be sanded. I have been using Masterseries, it's the same idea, "moisture cured urethane" but seems to stick better and can be scuffed and painted over far easier.

Jay, How hard is it gonna be to get those seats back together? I need to remove my bottom piece and do some welding . I have had the seat out several times for one reason or another but just didn't want tear something apart I could not put back.

Hey Dennis
The front on the seat just pulled up in the front. The back has a long thin piece of metal/plastic? that clips onto the back metal base lip. Hope that made sense.

I'm in the process of doing the same to my floor. Just a few questions. Did you do anything under the floor, like scrape off the pealing undercoating, grind any rust and reapply undercoat. Also can you give me some detail about the fiberglass. I have several small, rust holes and would like to do the same. Just not quite sure the "best" way. From what I've seen, the 3 step POR 15 requires rinsing off the first two steps, that doesn't sound so easy working on the floor. Scared the water will get into places I can't dry, causing more rust. Any advice would be a big help.
