Re: more thumping
The thumping problem is solved. azruss was right, the rubber around the support bearing was completely trashed. That was the first thing I looked at and at the time it looked fine. Yesterday I got it back up on stands and it stuck out like a sore thumb. Today I replaced support bearing and u-joints and now its smooth as silk. Its funny how something so simple can cause so much aggrivation.

Re: more thumping
Check the rubber bushings in your rear trailing arms and pan hard rod while you're under the car.
EDIT.
Woops, never mind, just saw your last post

Dennis,
Glad that worked out... Now get out and drive! It's a beautiful N. Texas weekend.
Are you going on the drive with the Houston group in a couple weeks?

Ranzi, I'm on my way to Tyler to look at a dog. It's a wonderful day for a drive in the spider .Don't recall a drive with the Houston group but I'm open as long as work permits. What's going on ?

I believe he means the drive to Wimberley and then to New Braunfels. I haven't decided if I'll make it or not. I'm hoping to, got a few little things that need fixed before and then I would be able to make it.dmwhiteoak wrote:Ranzi, I'm on my way to Tyler to look at a dog. It's this Saturday. I might not get to go. I gotta get my radiator fan working... and my hood latch so it doesn't let go.
