This is a good idea, should change the subject to "Carb picture reference bank". I'd also think people (including myself until recently) would benefit from it being noted that the 32/36 has "26" and "27" stamped on it to label the venturis, not the inlet size. :)

Hello 124JOE, I have a 28/32 adha like the one you are showing in the picture, could you show me which one is the "IDLE SPEED", the "IDLE MIXTURE" the "AIR BYPASS SCREW" and if you can tell me how to adjust the choke once you rebuilt the carbutertos. I have a 79 spider, and for some reason I can get the speed or the mixture right but I think it has something to do with the choke, because the butterfly either stay close after I warm the car up or after I run the car for awhile stays open and never close even after the car cools down.
I like to re-built the carbutertor, I'll appreciate any information from you or anybody that want to help me.

Thanks

Alex

# 3 is the choke it need to be closed when cold and open when hot
you can remove the 3 screws that hold it on to inspect
removing the big bolt will make it leak

setting the mix screw is to turn it slowly back or forward untill it runs the best whille its warm

then set the idle "mine is around 10"

Hello Joe, thank you for sending me that picture I was trying to send you a picture but I don't know how to insert it in this email. I like to know what's the name of the device that is right above the IDLE, what's it's funtion? and can you tell me how far in should the screw in the center be? in my carbutertor that screw is half way in. Should I bring it back out before I start setting the MIXTURE or the IDLE?

Joe,
my timing is at 10 degree, I'm able to set the idle mixture and the speed idle speed around 10 but when I brake sometimes the speed goes down to 5 or the car die. I think I have a leak somewhere. I'll do a search like your sig says :D

Thank you!

If you lose idle speed when braking then you have a leaking brake booster diaphragm.

Thank you, thank you all for your replies, I finally found my problem, it was the mecanical fuel pump, I notice that after I started the car on sunday it die when I was in reverse trying to get out of my driveway so I checked and notice that no fuel was getting to my carbutertor so I took the fuel pump out, open it, clean it with carbutertor cleaner put it back on the engine and the car started right up. Again thank you all, you are the best!!
I'm still searchin on how to put pictures here! :D
