Hey, decided to check my fuel pump and the little screen that goes in the gas tank today. Lo and behold, the little screen wasn't attached to the fuel line, just rattling around in the bottom of the tank. I fished it out, but am at a loss as to how to reattach it.
How does this thing work?

Re: Fuel Tank Screen
i had trouble with my screen lats year
it was blackand brittle
i whent to the parts store and looked at many pickup filters
i chose a long sock GM style
and cut off the metal head
sliped it over the intake line and zip tied it around the top of the screen
pull it tight with pliers and push with a screwdriver

Also, I should note that my return line on the carb leaks gas a little bit. I think the metal nipple may be a bit loose, no idea how to fix that.

Re: Fuel Tank Screen
the nipple on the carb was pressed in
try tapping it with a hammer into the carb
my old one just fell out a few times so a mecanic used liquid jb weld
just a thin coat and put it back on for the last time
