Probably noob question, but, what's this? And did I do a bad thing poking the little tube coming off out?
also what's this? I this section of things is the smog stuff right?
err, what's this?
Re: err, what's this?
First one is the EGR valve and the second one is the gulp valve, charcoal canisister( plastic container). Both emission devices and if your state doesn't require them, I would chuck them(keep the charcoal canister hooked up though)! Most people do.
Re: err, what's this?
Awesome thanks for replying so fast!
The charcoal canister is to the right side right? How does it hook up? That tiny black tube hookup? Most of the hoses and small tubes over there are disconnected and several are plugged.

Did I do this right?
Couldn't see any other logical hoses laying around in the area.

Re: err, what's this?
the charcoal canister is for venting the fuel system
yes origanly it was hooked up to a vac port
i dont know if your carb was changed
if so no need to plug it
the bottom hose should come from gas tank
if you plug that it may vapor lock

Re: err, what's this?
ok we need to find out if the guy gave it a single plane intake
it will have one big oval hole

Re: err, what's this?
I am new to this, but a quick learner.
So just pull the carb off right? Anything else to check when I do that?
Trying to decide if I wanna go to stock or upgrade like you did to the 32/36. If that one doesn't need that much more modification.
