Fuel Pump Gasket

Post by SeldomSeen »

Tomorrow I will replace the fuel pump on my 1608cc engine. Do I need to apply anything to the new gasket? Anything else I should know about this procedure?

it should go well
use just a small drop of sealer on the block the hold the gasket in place
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

The new fuel pump is on but the weirdest thing happened. As I was installing it one of the bolts slipped out and fell into the mouse hole in the lower A arm of the suspension. Thank God there was a similar hole in the bottom. I was just barely able to fish it out with my finger. Even the easiest jobs can turn ugly!
