Disconnect hoses from canister and install caps over the canister nipples. You can find these at places like AutoZone.
fiat218 wrote:and there one from the brake booster?
Intake should have a large connection to hook this to.
fiat218 wrote:and then i believe there is a return gas line!
Most people cap since there is no provision for this on DFEV.

If you are running a stock exhaust manifold and don't enjoy the smell of exhaust you have two options: plug the cross over port on the intake side or install a blanking plate on the exhaust side. Personally I would look for a FI exhaust manifold and down pipe to install.

Yes, brake booster goes to that fitting on the manifold. You can remove the canister and plug the hoses, or leave one unplugged for a tank vent hose.

I think it is the side one.

I left the top open. The ones on the bottom in my 1979 are a tee fitting. This means the fumes from the gas tank vent would simply flow in one side of the fitting and out the other side defeating the purpose of the canister. Just my 2 cents.

I just eliminated the canister, left the bottom hose for the vent.

That's a good idea, I didn't think of that....
I lengthened the hose, it terminates just outside of the opening where the original fresh air duct was, and I put a small filter on it to keep any crap out.
