Hello!
I'm a new member with a 1984 PininFarina Spider. Her name is Gigi and currently
in the shop getting a new backup/reverse switch. I've had her since July of 2005
when my husband brought this poor homeless orphan home. Although her previous
parents neglected her, she has received much attention and affection since we
adopted her. Since the girls have moved out on their own, and the kitty cat died,
it's been such a delight having Gigi to take care of! It's too ironic that my favorite
Van Halen album has the same name as her year. Can't wait for summertime!
Yesterday a mild 71 degree day; this weekend they're calling for snow showers.
Come on summertime! This weekend, we plan to attend a collector car auction
in town; maybe Gigi will get a little companion!
Excited New Member!
Re: Excited New Member!
LOL, welcome Gigi !!
my wife's Spider is named G.G. which is short for Ghia Grace. So, you are in good company. We're not so lucky here in Michigan to be even thinking of driving weather for another 60-80 days....of course, not driving since last october, we are REALLY looking forward to the change in the weather.
again, welcome and please post some pictures (preferrably TOPLESS!!)

Pictures coming as soon as I can figure out 'how-to' part...
Still in the film stage. Haven't quite made that leap to
digital stage yet...Working on it, slow but sure. I'm told,
'It's So Easy!', yet, not quite there. Stay tuned!

Ha Ha! Well, that 71 was YESTERDAY! Unseasonably warm, yet totally welcome!
We're just outside Ocean City, on Maryland's infamous Eastern Shore. It's too cold
to go to the beach, our pasty-white skin in dire need of a suntan and steamed crabs
are out of season for another four and a half months. No better time to get our
baby in the shop and geared up for summer! Hopefully, the switch that came in
today will be the right one. The one that arrived earlier in the week was the wrong
switch; for an earlier spider. The wiring harness on this one was a little different
so hopefully it is the correct part. We'll know tomorrow if our mechanic, Coop, got
to it today.

Welcome!
Suprisingly (given the appetite rust has for Italian steel), you are a short drive or a long swim from one of the largest group of Spider owners outside California.

Good luck with the switch. Gina (1973 Spider) and I are rooting for you. Great Spider secondary roads on the penninsula. What is it you people say, "There is no life West of the Chesapeake"?

Welcome Gigi. It's nice to have another female on board. Pics would be nice. You'll have to load your pics to something like Photobucket, then click the little "Img" button and paste the URL in between the brackets.
