Hi Everyone,
About to change the timing belt on my '81 FI. Have seen a high-performance 1" timing belt at AutoRicambi.
Anyone tried it? Any feedback on benefits? Pros... cons?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Wide timing belt
You must have cam pulleys without the front and rear guards in order to use the wider timing belt

Yep. Have those.
I mean, I have the flangeless cogs.

Re: Wide timing belt
Do you also need a flangeless auxillary pully? The 3/4" belt is just that a belt, the 1" belt is a belt and suspenders, so to say.
Re: Wide timing belt
You need to have the aux pulley w/ flange, and the other side is guided by the main crank.

Re: Wide timing belt
You don't need it. The 3/4 belt does the job perfectly well, just change it at the recommended intervals. The wide belt won't give you any more mileage before it needs replacement and makes no difference performance wise.
