My speedo reads 5mph when im at a complete stop... is there a way to calibrate it to zero? Would this affect all readings? i already thought it was kinda slow but wow...

Most speedos have a peg for the needle to rest on, and it is at 5 mph. Check yours - but I think there is nothing you can do about it.

interesting how these speedometers are off a little and can vary based on wheel size and gear ratio. The faster i go the further off the speedo becomes. For example. If the speedometer says i'm going 70 mph my GPS says I'm going 81 mph. I know how fast I'm going by gear and RPM's. In Texas 4000 RPMs = +-78 mph for a cruising speed.
