I have really tried hard to like this X19 but every time I touch it something goes wrong. I've notice a nice little line of fluid going from the car to the drain in the shop, but thought "what the heck, just oil...it IS a FIAT ya know". So I started it up to find the vacuum leak that won't let me adjust the idle, decided to drive a couple miles to get it warmed up and the clutch pedal fell right to the floorboard, so now I know the leak is brake fluid. Ron's going to love that since it's probably eating right through his floor sealer. Anyhow, can I assume, since it's under the car, the master cylinder isn't leaking? I haven't stuck my head under the dash, but isn't that where the m/c is? So, I guess it's the slave cylinder at the tranny? How hard is any of these to repair?

I guess it rates around a 2. 10 minutes to remove the slave cylinder that was in pitiful shape. Might as well do a little maintenance while I'm in that area.

Re: Clutch fluid leak
make sure the fluid reservoir isn't leaking too, and post your air bleeding time when it's done

No Mike, Alvon's got it right. He nearly broke every stud on my car when helping me replace the swaybar. Just kidding Alvon! Luv ya, mean it.mbouse wrote:ace mechanic, not Ace mechanic!
yeash.....
Mark, I believe the reservoir is good. No signs of leakage there, but why do I time the bleeding process? Should I get my stopwatch out or my calendar?

I reckon it was just that one stud was stronger than the other stud!mdrburchette wrote: He nearly broke every stud on my car when helping me replace the swaybar.
Now, please let the folks know that one stud was broken before I even touched it. We did finally figure it out before we got to that last stud, though, now. Didn't we?? Note to all: the existing studs for mounting your front sway bar won't suit for a 2" sway bar.
Is it still hanging together, D??
