You could put two bolts back in the end of the crank shaft and place a pry bar between them to hold the crank from turning. (don't damage the flywheel bolt threads)

Or since the oil pan is off, wedge a block of pine or 2x4 between one of the counterweights of the crankshaft and the block housing to stop the crank from turning.

If the cylinder head is still on you can try the "rope trick". (that cylinder must be on the compression stroke, or you can bend a valve)

Or get an impact wrench and you can simply hold the front crank pulley while the impact wrench does the work.

Will give it a shot this week. Thanks for the ideas.

Put the flywheel back on. Cut a steel strap long enough to attach between a pressure plate bolt hole and a bellhousing bolt hole on the back of the block. You will need to form the strap since the two holes are not in the same plane. It does not need to be more than 1/8 x 1 inch. You can use the strap to put the crank nut back on by reforming it. If the block is not restrained lay it on a side since the force you apply will rotate the block.

Timinator, has the right idea, but no need for a special strap, just use a 10" creasent wrench, one clutch bolt and one trans to block bolt. Put the flywheel back on, two bolts should be fine. Thread in one of the clutch bolts at least 5 threads, now hang the creasent wrench on the bolt, the wench should have a hole on the end for this and the other open end will engage the trans bolt that is screwed into one of the lower mounts. Now you have your torque reaction bar.

This is what I did to hold the crankshaft from rotating while torqueing the Flywheel bolts. You could do the same think for torqueing or untorqueing the front cranshaft nut.
