So...while tearing down my engine, I cleaned up and inspected both units. Question...do I (or is it wise) for me to replace both. The oil pump does not seem to have much to it.

From your other posts, it appears that you're doing a full-on rebuild with performance upgrades. In that case, you'd be wise to replace these two items. Perhaps all TC oil pumps are the same, but the water pump you want is of Japanese or Italian origin. with a cast (not stamped) impeller. There are many sources for this particular item, as this basic motor was in production for decades. Get the right one from a vintage Fiat parts supplier, such as the ones you see mentioned on this forum.
