Got to ask where the hell is Ferntucky.I've been just about all over the state and have yet to see that road sign. Is it anything like the state of Kentucky ?

Gotcha , I was kind of figuring it was a play on words. Know where it is I have relatives in Burlington. Don't get up there to often any more. Hope the idle issue is figured out.

YEAH! :D I pretty sure i found the issue to both my problems, i was reading another thread here about the lil wires under the distributor cap, so i went and pulled cap off and what do i see one of the wires had been grounding out on the shaft of distributor, got it all fixed up and the car starts up and idles like it should plus my tach isn't jumping all over the place either.

Thanks to this forum and all the heads up guys!
