FI Exhaust

Is the indentation on the left pipe (near the 90 deg bend) on this stock FI down pipe "as designed"? I passed buying a FI down pipe with an indentation in the same area. Assumed somebody damaged it getting it off the car. Looks like this inhibit exhaust flow quite a bit. What are your thoughts...

Not factory. I do like the other pipes. The bung hole for the sensor seems like it is in an odd location. I'm trying to picture that in the car with clearance and access. I'm probably off in thinking where that will sit pointing in to the center. Do I have my pipes crossed?
