Greetings from a Lurker

Post by xbjbx »

Hi All,

Looking forward to getting educated about the Spiders ... I have 2 X1/9s currently ... should have a 124 or a 2000 in my future.

Back to lurking!

there is a standing joke in our local chapter of FLU, WEST MICHIGAN FLU about the differences between the X and the Spider. more specifically, the X owners are always boasting that their machines are faster and superior.....though NONE of them have actually proven such to any of us SPIDER owners.

One man with both machines....hmmm, that too sounds interesting. Will you keep your allegence to the X :? , or will you defect to the much more superior, yet understated SPIDER  ?

Which ever you decide, welcome!

I don't have a Spider ... yet ... would love to drive one!

As for the X, it's a step above a go-kart and just really darn fun to drive. Would I replace my X with a Spider ... I don't think so. I think there's room for both as slightly different sorts of rides.

Oh ... Birmingham, Alabama vicinity.

I've seen a Spider or two in the area ... nice green model sporting UAB tags.

(And shocked to see a B'ham X for sale here!)

Yep, me too. When are you getting on the band wagon, Mike? There's room to appreciate both for what they are. I have to say, the X is a fun car to drive.

HEEEEEYYYYYY. I take exception to the SPITWAD comment. I loved my Spitty, i just broke it because it was too low to the ground.

The X is fun to drive.

Depends on whether Ron is coming or not. I can fit the X and Spider in his trailer, then I can go for that award Jon Logan's Lancia took home last year. What was it...worst in class? And, yes, you can take it for a spin.
