Engine Dies
Engine Dies
My car has the 1800 engine with the 32 ADFA and it likes to die when I come to a stop. It does it intermittently but it dies more than it wants to idle. When it does like to idle it is smooth and just under 1000rpm. I am wonder if it is dying because it is being starved of fuel because if you feather the throttle you can keep it running. It has a new fuel filter. Or could it possible be the idle solenoid? Thanks for the help.

Re: Engine Dies
It could definitely be the idle solenoid. Make sure the wire is on the firmly and making good contact.
Also make sure the solenoid is screwed in tightly.
