Hang in there Brady,and kudos to you for not quitting the site or trashing the vendor.I am not sure I would handle it as well.The disappointing thing is that there has been no response or explanation.It just seems like bad business to ignore the problem.In the long run,as Curly alluded to,it will cost the vendor way more in lost business than it would to replace the header.Heck,I might buy the damaged one at a reduced price! This a small community,and word does get around.

id like to add this, i bought a tail lite from this person on this forum, when i got it and unwrapped it.( was in 2 layers os bubble wrap)
the lense was broke, the piece layin in the wrap. now explain that one?
box did not have one dent, nor any sign of a big hit, i even showed the post master. i contacted that person. i had to show him thru pictures that it was broke and that it was the same light he sent me. i was like. wow i never broke it, if i did i sure the hell would not cheat him and get my money back, id order a new one
yes he did refund me , the point is, SHIT HAPPENS

I let mine go because it was only a broken center cap $20 and it was broken. before shipping because the pieces were not even in the box when i bought my rims. how ever $700 is dam hard to come by. by me or by anyone ! I would not let it go ! at some point, people will see the light. maybe to late. when they start doing the taxes for the next year and relize how many customers they have lost by not taking care of quality and bad customer relations issues. look at ford in 1990s they almost lost everything due to pour quality and bad relations. a multi million dollar company. now their bigest issue in our plants are looking for defects !!! I take the parts that are in a rack off the back of the line with my hi low and set them in a stagnging area than another worker inspects them before a shipping label is even made. even had a quality issue with my turn signals due to me not checking the parts before i ship. was buying my turn signals from a supplier that carries single and double filament bulbs. I do not use single, becuase we all want turn signal and park light . not just one. got a mixed shippment and shipped some out of the country. i replaced them no questions ask ! now i inspect every part before I box !!!! sounds like a pratice needed somewhere else. as well as customer relations and LOYALTY ! not sure what to think of his no respons ? would not have beleaved it if he had not dont the same to me. thought more of him than that. I had heard from others of simalar issue but didnt read much into it until he did it to me and now you. well it will be a $700 learning curve.
Brady I am jelous of your car ! it looks great just keep working on it it will be great. here is something i learned from a movie " I never much worried about the little things " meaning. dont forget ! but dont let it get you down either. I know this ,I have never in 44 yrs bought a 2nd time from anyone who has taken advantage of me or my good nature.even for a $20 part or $5. that $20 part took a hour out of my life at work ,away from my family or friends . that I can never get back.how many hours does it take to make up $700. about a good hard week. a week of camping with the kids, nice honey moon with the wife. or just doing yard work around the house or even rebuilding a Italian classic, a week gone ! money wasted ! mmmmm
I would have to guess that is only reseason for no answer is he doesnt want a confrontation and it all to blow up on line. atleast that is what i would hope.but that doesnt keep him from picking up the phone and calling or shipping a new part. Im sure brady would be elated to get a new part. he would even ship the old part back and even post it had been taken care of . i know i would
