Radiator Swap vs Recore?

Post by Raze »

Local radiator shop can recore the radiator for $320 for my 72, since remans run around that anyway and news run $400 while high performance run $500+, anyone found a viable alternative that doesn't require a pressurized overflow tank?

I couldn't find anything on your website, do you have a link to a post or some such which covers all the details/pics? This fits the earlier spiders?

If you want the radiator to look stock, you should probably get it recored of find a used one. But if you don't mind if it isn't stock, get Mark's aluminum unit. The aluminum radiator does a great job of keeping the coolant cool (due to it's capacity), and I have had no overheating problems since the swap.
