Winter oil change or not
Winter oil change or not
First winter for me with my spider. I put about 6 or 700 miles on it this summer and getting ready to put it away for the winter. I was wondering if its still recommended that I do an oil change after putting that few miles on it? Going to pull the battery, fill the tank and add Mystery oil in tank and a bit in each cylinder. Just wasn't sure about the oil change still being necessary after so few miles. Thanks

You should be OK with the oil. Don't forget Stabil before your last drive, and run the car enough to get it dispersed throughout your fuel system.
Re: Winter oil change or not
Would having the car idle for 20 minutes do the trick as long as I got the 2nd barrel to open up near the end of the session?
Re: Winter oil change or not
I always put fresh plugs in and fuel stabilizer top the gas tank up (they say water can build up if you tank is less then full.) before and put the battery on a tender. Try to get out and run the car for about a hour each week. Topping the tank off.First thing spring i regrease all fittings and change oil try to drive the old gas out.than I add sea foam and top the tank off again.

Thanks, so should I be using Sta-bil instead of Mystery Oil in the tank? If so how much?
Re: Winter oil change or not
8 oz of STA-BIL treats up to 20 gals. Think I paid $5 for 8 oz at Walmart. Amazon, AutoZone, etc also carry it.
