Will 1.6 cams fit on a 1.4?

Hi guys,

I may be asking a dumb question here.

I recently bought a 1.6 head from an auto jumble for peanuts and wanted to know wether the cams
would fit (and be ok) in my 1.4 head? Are the actual cams longer / shorter??

Would the 1.6 head fit onto a 1.4 block?? This is probably THE stupid question.

All the TC cams are interchangeable. Likely the cams are the same as a 1400, depends on which 1600 head it is.

You should be able to bolt the head on the 1400 if it is from a 1608. It if it from a 1592 or 1585, then likely it will fit, but I would verify by holding a head gasket up to it to make sure all the ports line up.
